Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CableHero (including cablehero.com.au and console.cablehero.com.au) you agree to these Terms.

2. What CableHero is (and is not)

• Engineering aid only. CableHero assists competent users with cable sizing, voltage drop/rise, conduit sizing and related calculations.
• Not professional advice. CableHero does not provide engineering, certification or legal advice and does not replace professional judgement.
• Standards references. CableHero references AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008 but does not integrate with or guarantee compliance, and is not endorsed by any standards body.
• Scope exclusions. No earthing design/assistance, no certification services, and the conduit tool output is strictly per AS 3000; premium exports (PDF SLDs, cable schedules, logo branding) are not certifications.

3. Your responsibilities

• You own your design decisions. You are solely responsible for verifying inputs, assumptions, and outputs and for compliance with laws, standards, and DNSP/AEMO requirements.
• Verification is mandatory. Independently verify all results, including installation conditions, thermal backfill, grouping, cyclic loading, short-circuit duty, and protection coordination.
• Qualified use. Intended for suitably qualified persons; misuse may cause damage, injury, or death.

4. No warranties

Subject to Australian Consumer Law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Calculation errors & limitations

• User responsibility despite errors. Even if there is a bug or omission, you remain responsible for verification and safe application.
• Inputs & assumptions. Outputs depend on your inputs and methods; incorrect inputs produce incorrect outputs.
• Beta features. Previews/betas may change and are used at your own risk.

6. Accounts, plans, and payments

• Fees in AUD, exclusive of GST unless stated. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. 14-day invoice terms unless agreed otherwise. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

7. Fair & acceptable use

No copying/reverse engineering, interfering, competing service, malicious code, IP infringement, or misrepresenting outputs as certified.

8. Intellectual property

ElectraGlobe owns the service IP; you own your input data/exports subject to our templates/licences.

9. Data, privacy & retention

See our Privacy Policy. We may set storage limits and delete inactive/cancelled data after a reasonable period. Back up your projects.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing excludes non-excludable ACL rights. Where permitted, our remedy is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.

11. Liability cap & exclusions

Subject to section 10: no liability for indirect/consequential losses; aggregate liability capped at the greater of AUD $100 or fees paid in the prior 12 months.

12. Indemnity

You indemnify us for losses arising from your use/misuse, your designs/exports, breach of terms, or violations of law or third-party rights.

13. Service changes & availability

We may modify/suspend features and perform maintenance without guaranteed uptime.

14. Third-party content

References/links are provided "as is"; we are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

15. Termination

We may suspend/terminate for breaches or risk/security reasons; survival clauses apply.

16. Governing law & venue

Queensland, Australia; courts of Queensland and the Federal Court (Qld Registry).

17. Dispute resolution

Good-faith discussions then mediation in Brisbane before proceedings (except urgent injunctions).

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update Terms; continued use means acceptance.
